The New York Islanders have built one of the NHL’s most recognizable legacies, highlighted by four consecutive Stanley Cup championships and generations of legendary players, coaches and executives. As the organization continued investing in its facilities and expanding its presence on Long Island, its new corporate office space presented an opportunity to create a permanent visual tribute to the people and achievements that have defined Islanders hockey.

Shaw/PPC Design partnered with the New York Islanders to design and produce a custom history display recognizing the franchise’s greatest players and the individuals who have earned major NHL awards and accolades. The exhibit was developed as an architectural feature within the corporate office environment, transforming an everyday interior space into an immersive celebration of the team’s history.

The custom display combines historic imagery, player information, dimensional graphics and carefully organized award recognition to tell the Islanders’ story in a clear and engaging way. Each section highlights significant figures and achievements from across the franchise’s history, allowing employees, players, partners and visitors to experience the tradition and accomplishments of Islanders hockey.

Shaw/PPC managed the project from design development and engineering through printing, fabrication and installation. Careful attention was given to material selection, graphic hierarchy, color consistency and architectural integration, ensuring the finished display complemented the corporate environment while maintaining the bold visual identity associated with the Islanders brand.

The completed installation creates a lasting showcase of the players who shaped the organization and the major NHL honors they earned. It reflects the Islanders’ continued investment in their facilities and their commitment to preserving and celebrating the history of the franchise. The organization’s broader facility improvements have included continued enhancements to the Northwell Health Ice Center, its Long Island practice facility and hockey operations home.
