When the University of Michigan Football program set out to reimagine the player experience inside Glenn E. Schembechler Hall, the goal extended well beyond updating a locker room. The vision was to create a world-class environment that reflected one of college football's most iconic programs while supporting player development, team culture, recruiting, and performance for years to come. The 14,000-square-foot renovation transformed the heart of Michigan Football into one of the premier locker room facilities in the country.

Little Caesars Arena opened in 2017 as the new home of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons, establishing a world-class sports and entertainment destination in the heart of Midtown Detroit. The approximately $863 million arena was completed on an accelerated 28-month construction schedule and encompasses approximately 885,000 square feet. Shaw/PPC Design partnered with Ilitch Holdings and Olympia Entertainment to produce a variety of custom environmental graphics, branded displays, and specialty fabrication elements throughout the arena.

As part of the University of Illinois' commitment to building one of the nation's premier football programs, the Henry Dale & Betty Smith Football Performance Center was developed to completely transform the student-athlete experience. The new 107,650-square-foot, $79.2 million facility serves as the daily home for Fighting Illini Football, bringing together training, recovery, player development, recruiting, and team operations under one roof.

The University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross Athletic Campus – South Competition & Performance Center represents one of the largest and most transformative athletic facility projects in the university's history. The $168 million, 280,000-square-foot development provides world-class training, competition, sports medicine, and performance spaces for nearly two-thirds of Michigan's student-athletes, serving programs including track & field, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, rowing, wrestling, tennis, and gymnastics.

As the title sponsor of the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway, Food City wanted its hospitality suite to provide guests with an experience that reflected the excitement of race weekend while presenting the company’s brand in a polished and memorable way. Building on our long-standing partnership with Food City, Shaw/PPC Design was selected to redesign and remodel the suite into a more contemporary, comfortable and cohesive hospitality environment. Our team developed a comprehensive interior refresh that included updated lighting, new paint finishes, custom environmental graphics, furniture selections and redesigned finishes for the suite’s bar area.

The New York Islanders have built one of the NHL’s most recognizable legacies, highlighted by four consecutive Stanley Cup championships and generations of legendary players, coaches and executives. As the organization continued investing in its facilities and expanding its presence on Long Island, its new corporate office space presented an opportunity to create a permanent visual tribute to the people and achievements that have defined Islanders hockey. Shaw/PPC Design partnered with the New York Islanders to design and produce a custom history display recognizing the franchise’s greatest players and the individuals who have earned major NHL awards and accolades.

As the final phase of the historic State Farm Center renovation, the University of Illinois partnered with Dimensional Innovations to create the Mannie L. Jackson Illinois Basketball Hall of Fame—an immersive experience celebrating more than a century of Fighting Illini basketball while inspiring future student-athletes and engaging generations of fans. Located adjacent to the arena's main entrance, the approximately 1,500-square-foot exhibit transforms a formerly underutilized space into a dynamic destination that tells the story of Illinois Basketball through the themes of The Game, The Teams, and The Fans.

As part of the continued evolution of Schembechler Hall, Michigan Athletics completed a comprehensive remodel of the second-floor football offices, meeting rooms, dining area, and operations center. The refreshed spaces combine modern functionality with a bold visual identity that reflects the tradition, excellence, and championship culture of Michigan Football while supporting the daily needs of coaches, staff, student-athletes, and recruits.

The University of Michigan Basketball program set out to create a locker room environment that reflects the championship aspirations of one of the nation's premier athletic departments. As part of a comprehensive renovation of the William Davidson Player Development Center, the project reimagined the men's and women's basketball team spaces to better support player development, team culture, recruiting, and everyday performance. The renovation transformed approximately 11,500 square feet of locker rooms, support spaces, and team areas into a modern, athlete-focused environment.
